This would later be known as the Watts Riots. It was believed that the riots had started when a white officer pulled a black man over for driving "Erratically". This was suppose to show some kind of racism. In the six days that took place during the riots, 34 died, 1000+ were injured, and over 4000 were arrested. Estimated damage? About 100 million dollars.
